Craig K. Boura

LCPC, CADC

Craig is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Craig received his Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College. He has over 30 years of experience in the mental health field. He worked for DuPage County for 23 years in a substance abuse treatment program, and seven years in a hospital as a counselor in several inpatient treatment programs.

Craig specializes in working with men and men’s issues. A particular niche Craig enjoys is working with Veterans and Law Enforcement Personnel. Craig works with individuals struggling with mood issues such as depression and anxiety. He is a trained EMDR therapist and works with clients struggling with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder in trauma recovery. He also works with clients struggling with Addiction. Craig uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. In addition, he includes Positive Psychology and the Eight Pillars of Joy spiritual principles, as well as a touch of humor, in his treatment tool kit.

Craig’s approach to counseling is to work on understanding the client and their needs while building a trusting therapeutic relationship. As those goals are being met, the therapist and client develop a collaborative, individualized plan to address the client’s issues.

Theresa Burback

LCPC, CADC, CFTP

Theresa is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Certified Family Trauma Professional. She obtained her Master’s degree in Counseling at the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. She has over 20 years of experience working in a variety of settings including hospitals, social service agencies, and in private practice with children, adolescents, and adults, helping them to grow and work through the problems many face every day. Theresa’s areas of expertise include helping people with Life transitions, Trauma, Women’s issues, Depression, Grief/Bereavement, Domestic violence, Mood disorders, Anxiety, Spiritual issues, and Addiction.

Theresa hopes to work together with her clients to help them figure out why they do what they do and to make any changes they choose to make to improve their lives. She meets with clients both in-person and through teletherapy and uses a combination of Cognitive Behavioral, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and EMDR to help her clients to work through and manage their emotions. Then working together to review how their past is affecting their current actions she helps clients to use coping skills and challenge thinking to improve their situations, regain control of their lives, and to develop goals and meaning as a part of finding happiness.

Marina Kostic

LCPC

Marina is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She received her Master’s degree in clinical psychology from Benedictine University. She has over six years of experience in the mental health field working in both private practice and hospital settings.

She specializes in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with mood disorders, depression, anxiety, self-injury, impulsivity, and addictions.

Using an integrative approach to therapy that is custom to each client's needs, she provides a high-level of treatment to increase the success of therapy. She incorporates aspects of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into her therapeutic approach for both individual and group therapy. She meets with clients via teletherapy and in-person sessions. Being a bilingual therapist, she has a unique understanding of other cultures that provides her with great insight in working with clients from diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds. She hopes to provide her clients with a multicultural perspective in dealing with various issues and developing skills to move forward in their lives.

Marie Quintana

LCPC, CMHIMP, PMH-C

Marie Quintana is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor as well as a Perinatal Mental Health Certified (PMH-C) and Certified Mental Health Integrative Medicine Provider (CMHIMP). She obtained her Master’s in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Counseling at Lewis University. She is licensed in the states of Illinois, Indiana and Florida. Marie has over 10 years of clinical experience in the mental health field.

Marie’s areas of expertise include Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Mood Disorders and Women’s issues. Using her CMHIMP Marie also provides patients and their families with psychoeducation about the bilateral connection between the brain and body. Having a PMH-C allows Marie to provide special care for women during the journey of motherhood (pregnancy loss, perinatal and postpartum period, and parenting skills).

Marie works with clients via teletherapy as well as in-person in a private practice setting treating children, adolescents, adults, and families. She meets her clients’ needs by using a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to achieve their goals. Marie helps her patients gain the tools to better manage and cope with emotional/behavioral issues while empowering patients with knowledge and self-awareness about their struggles.

Katherine (Kate) Reed

LCSW

Kate is a Licensed Clinical Social worker. She received her Master’s degree from the Jane Adams School of Social Work at the University of Illinois. She has many years of experience working in community service agencies, outpatient facilities, hospitals and private practice working with clients of all ages.

Kate has many areas of expertise, but specializes in working with people who struggle with eating disorders, self-harm, severe mental health issues, anxiety, depression and with the LGBTQ+ community.

She incorporates an eclectic approach using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Relational Theory and Psychodynamic Theory. She offers both in-person and tele-therapy, including individual and family sessions. Kate has an empathetic approach in working with clients to learn life skills, emotional regulation skills and communication skills to manage their daily struggles and to change their lives to be the way they want them to be.

Terri (Theresa) Straney

LCPC, CADC

Terri is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, a Certified Love and Limits Parenting Counselor, and a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. She obtained her Master's degree from National Louis University. Terri has over 18 years of experience and has worked on staff at both hospital and community service agencies as a therapist and case manager working with clients of all ages. Her areas of expertise include Mood Disorders, Eating Disorders, Anxiety, Depression, Parenting, Couples, Divorce, Family Reunification, and Addiction.

Terri enjoys working with individuals and families to help them address problems they face in their daily lives by using various treatment approaches, conflict resolution techniques, and behavior modification using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Terri strives to help increase self-understanding, self-esteem, improve decision making, parenting and solve problems with the goals of reducing anxiety, depression, and challenges associated with substance abuse, and attention deficit disorder, creating a happier more fulfilled life.
